Yesterday was one of those days....
I think back to times when Justin and I were dating and I can remember specific days vividly. A certain road trip we took and on our way home, I swear we laughed the entire time. Or spending Christmas with his family for the first time. Specific days where everything seemed.......PERFECT!
I think back to specific days when the girls were babies. Brynn walking for the first time. Bringing Sadie home from the hospital. Taking the kids to see a movie in the theater for the first time. Or when I unexpectedly took both girls to the Dyess Air Fest a few years ago by myself. I planned on staying an hour or so and we had so much fun that we stayed 6 or 7 hours! Just perfect days where I was HAPPY!
Yesterday was one of those days....
On a whim, I took the girls to a rally downtown celebrating travel/tourism in Abilene. If you attended the rally you received a button that allowed you to enter the tourist attractions here for free. My original plan was to go to the zoo and then have a picnic.
But I quickly realized it was one of those days....
The animals were out, my kids weren't fighting, the weather was perfect, and everyone was happy!
Well, until Sadie got her head stuck...
(Yes, I took her picture before helping her out) but that's another story for another time..
There was no whining, no crying, no pouting, no fitting.....everyone was HAPPY!
After the zoo we had a picnic in the beautiful weather and then decided to head to Frontier Texas. It was for older children but the girls still enjoyed it. After that, we went out to the Historical Village in Buffalo Gap. I thought it would be a flop, but the girls LOVED it!
Except when they give their said faces about the jail..
They fed chickens....
And practiced their ropin' skills
Brynn practiced preaching like Papa...
And Sadie was the background music...
I know there are a lot of pictures, but I really wanted to capture how perfect the day was.
Everyone was......HAPPY!

What a great day!! How is it that Sadie is always the one finding trouble...head stuck...wandering off. She sure keeps your life exciting!
Mary Beth! Your girls are so adorable, I love it! And Sadie's head getting stuck...that was hilarious! Ha! Anyhow, I loved all of your pictures. I think we might take the boys out to HV at BG one day, that looked like a lot of fun!
