More Birthday Fun!!

Friday night we made a cake together and then went and spent some time with my family.

On Saturday we spent the day celebrating her birthday with just our family.  She picked bowling!!

I am so proud of the beautiful girl Brynn is becoming.  She is honest (almost too honest), sensitive, caring, and loving.

 Happy 5th Birthday Brynn!

Look who's about to turn 5....

Tomorrow is the big day! Brynn will be 5!

She has been so excited all week and due to crazy schedules these days, we are have several different 'parties'.

Yesterday we went to McDonalds (cheating on Chick-fil-A!) and had some of her friends come out! She was SO excited and wanted everything to be "Princess and the Frog."

How fast time flies...

More FRL...

Our FRL class at the Coca-Cola Headquarters with Dan Cathy. We were able to tour their headquarters and even sit in their board room!

One Saturday we went out to Berry College to Camp Winshape. It was absolutely beautiful. We were able to visit Truett Cathy's foster homes and meet the families that take in 12-13 kids at a time! After seeing the homes, we went out and did a ropes course.

Apparently I have a fear of heights that I didn't know about.

I did not stand on the top and jump like others were able to do. I made it here and then came right down.

Our class was also able to have dinner at Bubba Cathy's (Dan's brother/Truett's other son) house. We had a blast there touring all of the secret passageways!!

FRL

The training to become an owner/operator of a Chick-fil-A consisted of 5 weeks in Atlanta at a class called Fundamentals of Restaurant Leadership (FRL). It was an absolute blast!! We had 25 people in our class made up of owners and corporate staff members.

The next few posts I do will be about my time in Atlanta.

We spend a lot of the time in class but for 4 days we got to go to the kitchen and learn all about the basics of CFA.

Making biscuits:

The friendly "Egghead Competition" of who could make the best egg (I didn't win).

Hand squeeze some lemonade!

One night we had dinner at Dan Cathy's house. He is the president of CFA and the founder's (Truett Cathy) son. The business has always been in the Cathy family and that is why its values and beliefs had remained strong.
