December in Pictures

What a crazy, busy end of the year!! We started out with the girls finishing their first half of ballet. We got to go watch their class one evening.....too cute!!
Then we had a neat treat of going to see The Princess and the Frog. HUGE hit with the girls (and mom and dad)

I got my official contract and all of my FRL (the training I will go to for 6 weeks) information. I think this finally made everything seem REAL!!

We baked some yummy cookies for Santa

And picked out our favorite ones to leave for him. We even picked out an extra special one and put a candle in it to sing Happy Birthday to Jesus!

Then Christmas morning arrived with tons of squeals, giggles, and smiles! LOTS of princess goodies for these two lovely ladies.

Showing off their loot....

Sadie: 3 years old

Brynn: 4 years old

Merry Christmas to all!

After 14 months of interviews and traveling everywhere, I can now finally say that I Owner/Operator!!!! Justin and I flew to Atlanta on Monday for a fun-filled day of interviews on Tuesday and then that night I received the fabulous phone call. I will be taking over a store in Brownwood, Texas!

Words cannot begin to express my happiness and how thankful I am for this opportunity. I have a pretty eventful few months ahead of me though. I will be leaving January 7 for six weeks of training in Atlanta. (yes another month and a half without my babies). I will then start at my new store on April 1.

Thank you for all of the prayers and support!

Colorado Recap

I have finally made it home from my month in Colorado!! It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I would do it again in a heartbeat. I missed my family terribly but learned so much about myself while I was there. The first week I was there, we got hit with 17+ inches of snow. It was crazy!! People still camped out for the opening and some even built a little igloo to stay in!!
I met some amazing friends and the "Dinner Club" was formed. Every night was spent laughing until I cried!

I spent my first two weeks in Fort Collins and then moved to Longmont for my last two weeks. In Longmont, I celebrated my 30th birthday!!

With all of these amazing people!!

Of course we had time to go see the sights. Here is the Stanley Hotel from the movie, "The Shining."

I am going to miss seeing this everyday

Or stopping for these

But I wanted to get home to these beauties!!

I am in Colorado now working at the Grand Opening and we got TONS of snow today, something I am very unfamiliar with in Texas!
At Chick-fil-A Grand Openings, people camp out because the first 100 get free CFA for a year. I thought this wouldn't happen with the weather being so awful, but NOOOOOO there are a lot of crazy people camping out!! Isn't that nuts!!!!
Some of the campers decided to build an igloo for fun

Others just stayed in their tents to keep warm

And then the best part of the trip happened......the girls sent me a picture tonight!!
(Sadie doesn't like pictures)

I am having a blast, working hard, but mostly missing my babies!!

Some pictures

Happy Halloween!!!
The girls made a paper chain today and each night I am gone they are going to tear a link off to count down the days. As Brynn said, "Mom, 28 sleeps is FOREVER!!"

Six Flags

We took the kids to Six Flags this weekend along with Justin's parents! It was so fun and it sure did bring back a lot of childhood memories for me. It's crazy how some things are still the same twenty years later!

Here are the girls getting ready to go in the park:

Since it was their Halloween time, they had a trick or treat area set up with all the characters. The girls loved this part!!

The teacups were a big hit!

Overall, it was a great day and it was good to get away and spend time as a family.

I will be leaving Sunday for Colorado and won't be back until Thanksgiving. I doubt there will be any blogging time so ADIOS!

I'm back......and then gone again......

I am absolutely loving the cool, calming weather that we are having right now! I guess I should start getting accustom to it since I will be in some COLD weather soon! (Cold for us Texans that is)

I am going to be heading up to Colorado for a MONTH to work, so please pray for Justin and the girls. The girls are old enough for it to really upset them, but not old enough to understand time. I am sure that they will be fine but I am a mom and I's my job.

There are two stores opening up in Colorado and I will be up there training new employees and enojoying in all of the Grand Opening festivities. I am excited, nervous, scared, and VERY emotional!

I won't be leaving until the 25th so we decided to take the girls to Six Flags this coming up weekend for a fun family day. So, please say a prayer for all of us in this situation.....we're gonna need it!!

Sadie Dancing

We went to part of the Aaron Watson concert while we were at the fair and out of the blue, my normally shy child started dancing in front of everyone. If you'll watch her the whole time she runs over and starts striking poses for everyone. Who knew?!?!

The Fair

We took to the kids to the fair Saturday and had an absolute blast. We had a wonderful time enjoying the "bull show" a.k.a. Rodeo, eating the delicious food, and riding all the rides. We were shocked at how amazed they were with the rodeo. We will now be looking for more rodeos to attend! I would love to post all 36 pictures, but 3:35am came early this morning and I am soooo tired. So, I will leave you with a picture that sums up the evening......happy girls!!

Dance class and Baby Gage

The girls started ballet this last week! This was Sadie's first time and Brynn's second class to go to. They had a blast learning some of their new 'dance moves' and boy did they look super cute in their outfits!
They were soooo happy that they were able to be in the same class (but after talking to the teacher we realized this might not have been the best idea....Brynn tends to be a little protective of her baby sister)

On another we all are a couple of weeks ago hosting a baby shower for our friend Courtney, whose due date was November 11. (L to R: Me, Hillary, Courtney, and Jacinta)

She was 31.5 weeks yesterday and gave birth to Gage weighing in at 4.2lbs! Please keep her family and baby Gage in your prayers as he is at Cooks in Fort Worth right now and will remain there for awhile. He is doing amazing and is able to breathe on his own but please continue to pray for them during this journey!

Told ya I would be back!

My lovely child has this horrible habit of twisting her hair and pulling it out!! I have no clue what else to do. We have now cut her hair short (ear lobe length) but she continues to pull her hair out. We were walking into the store the other day and I looked down to see her beaming bald spot.
Any ideas? I am clueless on how to handle this!
Onto some other fun things.....the girls new obsession is sunglasses. They each have a couple pairs and when they can't find those, they resort to daddy's glasses!

As I mentioned before, the girls are involved in AWANAS at church. Last week was the first class (and Sadie's first time to go) so Papa Steve took them for ice cream afterwards. Sadie loved 'tubbies" (a.k.a Cubbies). Brynn was a pro and still remembered all of her Bible verses from last year!

Please give me any advice you might have on the hair situation!

The August Update

WOW!! I think this has been my longest blogging vacation EVER! I am sorry to both of my faithful readers for my absence. Things have been hectic, as always, and it has been hard to find the time to sit down and blog.

Enough with the excuses......sit down and get ready for a month long update!!!

Our friends, David and Hillary, got married at the beginning of August. Justin was an usher, I was a bridesmaid, and Brynn was the flower girl. I didn't get any good pictures of Justin and myself, but of course I got some of the little princes..

Here we are leaving the salon with her hair all done up like a real princess:

It took a little help to make it up the aisle......

And A LOT of help getting back down the aisle:

Overall, she did fine and even met a new friend!!

Next came Sadie's 3rd birthday!! She picked out all of her decorations and even this lovely frog cake! We were talking about what kind of cake she wanted (i.e. Dora, Wonder Pets, etc) and out of the blue she walks up to the counter and blurts out, "Do you have any fwoggy cakes?" The lady so kindly said yes and she said that was the one she wanted and we were done.
Only Sadie....

She wanted a "quarweeum" for her birthday and I swear she watched the fish forever!!

Our big 3 year old!

Last weekend Justin's boss gave us tickets to the Cowboys/49ers game! If you don't know, I am a huge 49ers fan and needless to say.....I was FREAKING out!!

Our friends, David and Hillary, went with us and we had a blast. Justin and David were pumped (but no where near my level)

The stadium is absolutely beautiful!!

Our seats were on the 4th row 40 yard line! They were absolutely amazing!! It was such a wonderful night and we called it our celebration for our 5 year anniversary which is today!

That is a wrap up to our month of August! The girls are both involved in AWANAS at church and start ballet next week. They are absolute opposites and full of energy! I have been keeping up with everyone's blogs during my absence and now I hope to start posting more frequently.
Happy Anniversary Babe! Love you!
