Christmas 2008

And heeeeeeeere come the Christmas pictures!!! We had a very busy holiday, so now we are home and exhausted!! We spent Christmas day here at our house with my parents and grandmother. On Friday, we went to Dublin for the weekend to spend Christmas with Justin's family. We were very blessed this year.

Here is my baby holding her baby

Sorry these are out of order but here is Christmas morning with two excited girls.

And with some very excited hair!!

This was something very, very special to me. My Nanny (on the far right) is holding her Dutch Doll blanket that her grandmother made her. My Mom (on the far left) is holding her Dutch Doll blanket that Nanny made her. Now, my girls are holding their Dutch Doll blankets that Nanny made them.

We hope you had a wonderful holiday!!!

Please say a prayer

Christmas is in full swing at the Leach household!! The girls are SO excited and can hardly contain themselves when talking about Santa. Here is where I would post a picture of them with Santa but both girls have adamently refused to go near him. We have tried several times, but NO WAY!! Brynn's response was, "Can I just call him on the phone?" Typical Brynn. Sadie was more of the up front no with a response of, "I not see Santa!! I no talk to him!"

So, we didn't force anything and I will just have to live with no picture for this year. We made our batch of Christmas cookies last night and I would post a picture of that, but I left my camera at a friend's house when we went for a birthday party. Wow, the holidays have taken my brain away! I have enjoyed some time off with the girls and it really has been a fabulous week.

Also, please say another prayer for myself. Beginning January 1st, I will no longer be the Marketing Director for Chick-fil-A. I applied back in October to own my own CFA and so I will begin training in the operations area learning the ins and outs of everything. It is bittersweet, but I am very excited about what lies ahead. The process is very long and in-depth so we are expecting a year full of interviews and such. They receive about 10,000 applications a year so we will need all the prayer we can get. Also, if I get the store we will not be able to pick the location. This is where we need more prayers. We were told that staying in Texas would be a long shot so we are praying that we will still be somewhat near to family. Justin has been absolutely amazing and supportive and I hope that this all works out. There will be a lot of responsibility left to him and I know there will be trying times, but in the end the rewards are amazing! I am ready for the long road and the hard work, but prayers will be needed!!

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and I will be back with tons of pictures!!!

Last night we went to Justin's Christmas party for work and we had such a blast!!

Justin works for McCarty Equipment and there are several stores besides the one here in Abilene. They have stores all over Texas, one in Arkansas, and one in Colorado. There are about 75 employees total. Well, he got everyone and their spouse rooms at the McM Elgante hotel and then we were taken in buses out to the Expo Center for dinner, dancing, and the big fun of the night was the Deal or No Deal Game.

They were grouped in teams of 8-10 and they played the game with Kelly McCarty (the owner) being the banker. Whatever you won was split amongst your team. It was absolutely fabulous. Justin's team dealt for $1200 but their case had $100, so they made a great deal. 3 of the other teams actually had the $10,000 in their case but the dealt early!!! After that, they had drawings for a 50" plasma TV, blu ray player, surround sound, and another TV. We didn't win anything but that's okay. It was SO much fun. Probably way too much fun.
I had never been to a Christmas party this elaborate and we had a wonderful time!!!

Aaaaaaahhhh..........

Do you hear that?.............................

SILENCE!!!!!!!

Justin called me today and decided to go to his parents house for the weekend to help his dad with some stuff. He asked if I wanted to go and I told him I did, but that I really had a lot to do here. So, he took Brynn down there for the weekend and it is just Sadie and I relaxing alone! Isn't that awesome??! (I think I hurt his feelings that I was so happy about this) I love going down there but I could get SO much done without one child and a husband.

There is so much I could accomplish......clean out closets, Christmas shop, clean other random parts of the house, clean out Brynn's room and toy box, watch girly movies, (can you tell I like to clean?)........who knows how much or if anything will get done!

Let me quietness begin....

(I will be saving this and posting it on Sunday in case I have a internet stalker. So if you are stalking me, my husband is home now)

Sunday:
*UPDATE* I was a very busy girl.

Things accomplished:
bathed and cut the dog, cleaned out every closet in our house, cleaned out everyone's drawers in their room, cleaned microwave, cleaned fridge, installed new drain plug-thingies for our bathroom sinks, installed a door knob, repainted inside of cabinet underneath sink due to mistake in installing drain plug-thingies, rearranged Brynn's room, and finally Christmas shopped!!!!!

Whew....I am so soar, I can barely move.

Turkey Day Recap

We made it through the Thanksgiving holidays! We are all stuffed and worn out, but overall it was absolutely wonderful. We spent Thanksgiving Day with my family and then went to Justin's parents for the weekend. My cousin took these fabulous pictures of the girls and it may not look like it, but Brynn had a blast!!

Sadie loved playing with Garrett and Abigail (and the leaves)

Brynn found the gun to be especially fun.....should I be worried??

Here are the girls with Garrett (Abigail didn't think it was too fun to lay in the leaves)

I think my cousin Mark should be a professional photographer rather than a doctor!!
