Sadie is 2 and in a crib....is this a problem?

Okay, so I have a question. At what age did you move your child out of a crib?

Here is my excuses...I mean.....logical explanations. We moved Brynn to a "big girl bed" when she was about 21 months old. No biggie. No problems.

Now, here is Sadie. She is much more hard-headed and determined then Brynn EVER was. I don't think it will be a big problem, but I just kind of like the idea of knowing where she is at night. She would be the type to roam the house and never make a peep.

Here is the real reason: She wakes up at about 7:30 and sings for a little while (15-20 minutes) and then falls back asleep until 9. EVERY DAY! I know that if I move her to a bed, then she will be up at 7:30. Yuck.

I just really do not want to move her to a bed yet, but I don't want to cause any permanent damage.

Let me have it.......what age?

Sadie is Two!

My baby girl turned two today! I still can't believe just how fast the time has gone. Sadie is my "mama's girl" and I love how she is shy around other kids and would just rather sit with me.

She is almost as tall as Brynn and they can pretty much share clothes.

Here comes the rundown....

And today:

Her birthday party isn't until next weekend so we had a mini-celebration with her tonight. We took her out alone with just Justin and I and she absolutely loved it. Our girls don't get much 'alone' time with mommy and daddy so this was pretty special to her. Here are some highlights from the evening.

She loved 'bomping' the gators! I guess she had some built up aggression!

All in all it was a fun time for everyone! I couldn't wipe this cheesy smile off her face even if I had tried!

Happy Birthday my sweet baby!

Rain, Rain Go Away

We are 2 days in with 3 more to go full of RAIN! It is raining non-stop and my kids are going nuts from having to stay inside all day. In fact, today we loaded up and drove around in Justin's truck just to simply get out of the house.

I woke up late today and noticed that I had a new voicemail on my phone. I check it only to hear my neighbor calling us earlier that morning to let me know that one of the side doors on my van was open and apparently had been open all night.

Seriously?!?! Are you kidding me?

I guess he came over and shut it for us. I haven't assessed the damages because I really couldn't do anything about it.

Nice rain, nice!

Fun Week

What a week this has been! Let's see:

Sunday we realize that our A/C has one out. COMPLETELY out! So, we pack up and head to mom's house

Monday we get the guys out to look at it and find out we need an ENTIRE new A/C. (Note: these suckers are stinking expensive!)

Tuesday we get estimates and suck it up that we are going to have to spend a lot of money

Wednesday my mom has surgery, so her and my dad pack up and go to the hospital.

Thursday they come out and begin installing

Friday mom gets out of the hospital and we move home

Saturday get the house cleaned up and realize we have a leak from the new A/C

Saturday night the guys are back out fixing the leak

Sunday we will have no hot water

Monday they will come back out and fix the hot water issue

Next week......we are selling the house. Just kidding......no not really

Editors Note: To any person/persons that I completely FREAKED out at my 10 year high school reunion....I apologize for my pyscho-ness (is that a word?)

Okay, so my 10 yr reunion was last weekend and I was super pumped to see everyone! (Sidenote: I keep up with many people's blog via google reader so sometimes I get really bad about remembering to leave comments) Back to the story......all day Friday I am pretty stoked about catching up with all of my 'blog friends'. Please know that by 'blog friends' I mean: people that I feel are very close to me but we only really talk via blogging and sense I rarely leave comments, we really don't even talk via the web. No real life conversations, but yet I feel like they are my true friends in real life. Does that make sense? Basically they are all very close to me but they do not even know about this weird one-sided relationsip!

I brew and brew on seeing everyone all day long and so by the time the evening rolled around, I was super giddy. We get to this fabulous martini bar and go inside, check in, get our name tag, etc. Immediately I see some of my 'blog friends'........

here is where it all goes downhill for me....

I rush these poor girls and their spouses with, "HI!!! OH MY GOSH I READ YOUR BLOG!" as I then proceeded to ask them about personal things in their life (i.e. "how was the move?" "how was your test?" etc) I saw the stunned, 'do i know you', 'how the heck do you know all about me', 'are you a stalker' looks on all their faces. I had never met any of their spouses and I am just asking away personal questions like we are old friends.

Did I catch myself and realize how crazy I looked?

So, I apologized Saturday night for scaring everyone and promised that, if I tried to view their blogs on Monday, I would not be offended if they were 'suddenly' changed to private.

Other than that, the weekend rocked!

Here is pasty white MB with my long lost 7th cousin who now lives in Guatamala! (Doesn't everyone always have some cool story at reunions! His is actually true)
