Our New Family Member

Welcome the new addition to our family!

We haven't thought of a name for her yet, but it is coming. We got a fabulous deal on it from a guy that Justin works with. It will be awhile before we take her out anywhere so we are just taking the time to get her all prettied up and ready for her debut.
Onto other things, on Saturday we took my Nanny to meet my aunt (she's not really my aunt but I don't really know the exact relation so Aunt Mary Jane it is). Anyways, here is a group picture of my Aunt MJ, the girls, myself, my mother and my grandmother.

Then we decided to take a generation picture of the girls, myself, my mom, and my grandmother but Sadie was VERY ready to be done with the photo session.

We have gotten a lot of projects done around the casa that will be featured this week! Stay tuned.

Ladies Day Out

This weekend Brynn went to spend some one-on-one time with Justin's parents, so that left us with one-on-one time with Sadie. Then, as our luck would have it, Justin gets called in to work ALL weekend.....this left one-on-one time with just Sadie and I. I do have to admit that it was nice for us to have a little mommy and me time. We started the day out by going to the zoo.

The zookeeper got out a baby alligator for Sadie to look at up close and she states, "Have it?" baby you can't have it. "Have it gator-NOW!" When we told her no again the biggest breakdown of 2008 occurred. That was our cue to exit the zoo immediately as she was now screaming, "HAVE IT GATOR!!!" the whole way out of the zoo.

After that we had some lunch, ran some errands, went shopping, rented some movies, and now we are all snuggled up on the couch.
What a perfect Saturday!!

The Queen

Boy have we had a tough time with "miss thang" (a.k.a. Brynn)

She has just been 3 going on 15 lately.

Me: What did you have for your snack at music class today?
B: Strawberries
Me: What did you drink?
B: I ate a peach
Me: okay, what did you drink?
B: I ate a peach.
Me: OK, I get that, but what did you drink?
B: (at the top of her lungs) I DRANK A PEACH DRINK!!!!
Me: Umm...whoa! Don't talk like that!

But in the cuteness categories, she has had a few:

Example A: (at music class)
They are dividing into their classes and she runs over to an older kid and said, "I want to be in your class today because you play in the gym more."

Example B:
Me: Brynn, how do you spell your name?
B: B-R-Y-NNNNNNNNN (I swear she puts about 15 n's on it)

Example C:
She got in trouble at class and she told her teacher, "I'm sorry, I am just having a bad day."

I guess the cute examples out number the devilish ones, but that is just because it is late and I am tired and can't think of more.

It's been awhile....

Where to begin with this post.....

Let's start with July 4th....

We had wonderful time in Dublin with Justin's family. Brynn really got a kick out of the "big" fireworks show, but we made the mistake of doing that part first which meant having her do the sparklers later was 'no big deal.' Sadie tried to sleep through the show, but finally woke up and oooed and aaaahed with us for a little bit.

Next up....the leak

Justin wakes me up the other night to tell me that our hardwood floor is buckeling and that we have a leak somewhere in our house. YIPPEE! After searching we realize it is our air conditioner and that our entire kitchen, dining room, and hallway floor is ruined. WONDERFUL! So we get the A/C guy out here and he gets things fixed so we have air again!!! YEAH! We proceed to put back the dishwasher and fridge and somehow we get an eletrical short and so our dishwasher becomes possessed and begins spewing gallons and gallons of water into our entire house. OH THE JOY! Needless to say our house is in complete mayhem and chaos. The insurance adjuster will be here in the morning to assess the damages and let us know how to proceed from here. NEAT!

Now....Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-A

Friday was CAD which means if you dress like a cow, you eat for free. Crazy I know, but tons of fun! We had between 65-75 'cows' come into the store, but here are some pictures of the custest ones that I saw:

We had an absolute blast and boy do the college students around here take it to the extreme!!
Well, today we decided to take the girls fishing. Now, this may sound fun to those whose children are over the age of 3, but for us it was complete chaos! I don't think anyone had just a load of fun, but hey we tried. When Sadie slipped off the bank and into the lake, we decided it was time to head for the house. So, with a soaking wet, muddy baby we called it a day. I did get a few good pictures of the event:

Work should be slowing down a bit now, so I promise to be a better blogger (don't I say that in every post?).
Have a great Monday!

Lifting Up Serenity

I stalk many, many blogs.

Okay, I said it out loud and have finally admitted it to everyone. Whew.....much better.

Somehow I came across this blog and I am simply addicted:

Serenity (who will be 2 this month) was diagnosed with leukemia on May 24, 2008. I guess it just hit home because Sadie will be 2 in August and I just can't imagine going through what they are experiencing. To hear a parent's journal of these treatments on a helpless 2 year old is just heart breaking. Please keep them in your prayers.
