Leadership training

If you were to ask me, "Why Chick-fil-A?" I would have many answers as to why I love my job. They are an amazing corporation that puts ethics, values, and family first. One part of the job is leadership training. They want to train you, not only for your career, but for life as well. This weekend we had a leadership training retreat for all of the leadership employees at our Chick-fil-A. I had an absolute blast, but I figured out that I am really old!! One part of the training was a ropes course. Here we are getting all geared up for the challenge:

This part would be pictures of me on the course, but those are on other people's camera so just picture me doing this only much cuter of course!!!

It was such a wonderful weekend but I was ready to come back to my 'old lady lifestyle.' I cannot function on 4 hours of sleep. Have a great week!

Holy Moses do I have a long post for you! Pull up a chair and get comfy cause we are going to be here awhile. We have two big accomplishments in the Leach house:

Brynn attended her first day of VBS:

And we finally are able to put Sadie's hair up!

Now onto my super-duper fun weekend!

My old roommate from college got married so EVERYONE came into town to celebrate with them. Meet Erin:

She is my long lost roommate (there were 4 of us girls that lived together). She lives in Colorado so we don't get to see each other very often (although we talk all the time). In fact, we hadn't seen each other since I was pregnant with Sadie. I swear this girl is my 'seester' (sister) and will always be my bestest friend. Now, she is starting a family of her own (she is 9 weeks pregnant) and she has the most amazing guy that my girls are absolutely in love with.

Okay, can you tell I am a little emotional that she left an hour ago.....

So onto all the fun wedding pics.

At the rehearsal dinner:

At the bachelorette party:

My hubby and I at the reception:

Sidenote: She got married at the MCM Elegante (a hotel here in Abilene) and I am pretty sure some random guy mooned the ceremony while riding down the elevator!!!!

All of the ladies:

Me, Candice, and Jacinta:

Erin and I again:

This is Amanda-the beautiful bride! She was absolutely amazing through the whole weekend. No panic attacks or nothing!

The four original roommates-this was our first time all together since 2003!

We had a fabulous time and I think I am going to need about a month of recuperating!

River Trip

I'm baaaaaaack! They finished my computer early (thank the Lord) and so I am back to normal now. The house is not getting cleaned, I am all caught up on blogs and TMZ, and the kids are watching a movie.....yup-back to the good ole' me. I really do not ignore my kids-I promise! It was just a joke.

We took a little trip this weekend with some friends down to float the Guadalupe River. We had a blast and are VERY sunburned now. Overall, I would say that 5 hours of floating on a river with 20 friends was paradise. It made us feel young again (although we are feeling very OLD right about now)!

I would post more pictures, but I never took any! Grrr..... so just imagine a whole bunch of people our age that are burnt to a crisp now!

My old roommate is getting married next weekend so our other roommate (and my best friend) is coming into town from Colorado!! (did that make sense? there was 4 of us girls that lived together-got it?) We will have all 4 roomies together for the first time in 5 years! I am already on the countdown until Thursday and then all the festivities begin.

Glad to be back!

We have a dog that is part maltese part yorkie. This equals beautiful, but very long curly hair! He has needed a haircut for awhile but, being the procrastinater that I am, I put it off until it was absolutely horrible! I try to get him a grooming appointment and everyone had a 3 week wait so, being the thrifty person I am, I decide to save the money and do it myself. Justin was against this BIG TIME but I convinced him that it was no big deal. I did not take a before picture because I didn't think it was going to be this bad. Just picture a really cute dog with really long hair........

His look in that picture says it all. Justin was not-so-happy and I will be making him a "fix it" appointment tomorrow.

Anywho......with gas prices the way they are (sidenote: I just read that with hurricane season approaching, if one should come, expect gas to raise to 6 dollars!!!! AAAHHH)
You just may see Justin or I sporting this bad boy:

This was a guy's bike that came to our last garage sale! The car in the back is his storage! Pretty cool.
