Memorial Weekend

And let all the pictures begin.......

We took a spontaneous trip to Fort Worth on Sunday to go to the zoo. The girls had an absolute blast! This was our first 'family vacation' and by that I mean the first time we went out of town and actually took our kids rather than get a sitter. (yes I know we are horrible so save your comments) We started off the day with style:
And if ya need a closer look at these fabulous girls........
Sadie: 21 Months Old

Brynn: 3 years old

They got out of the stroller to look at one of the animals and proceeded to grab each other's hand and walk off. How cute!!!! They love to hold hands.

Trying to get a cute picture....Please excuse their hair-it was really hot

I have no idea what we were looking at, but I guess it was exciting:

Today, we went and bought a pool and sat outside watching the girls go crazy. My favorite quote of Brynn's was (as she was giggling uncontrably), "This is just so fun that I can't stop laughing!" And yes Brynn is swimming in her panties because she had outgrown her last swimsuit and I haven't bought a new one yet. Once again, no comments needed. Thanks

And one more of little miss heading out to the pool

Reason #9395......

Why I love that my mom keeps my children! This my look like an ordinary diaper box with sheets of colored paper glued to it.......
but noooooo........it is a magical spaceship that is used to blast off into space!!!!

My mom is amazing!

Family Visit

Sorry I have taken a leave from blogging lately. I could give the usual excuses like: work has been hectic, kids have gone crazy, etc. but you know all of those by now. We were able to go to Dublin this weekend to see Justin's family and we had a WONDERFUL time. His cousins and aunt were in town and we hadn't seen them since last summer, so that was especially great. We have missed them so much and I was amazed at how much the boys had grown. We were able to get all of the cousins (plus our kids) together for one picture.
(sorry my husband looks mad, he just doesn't smile for pictures)

I am sure I will have some good stories about the girls soon and I will do better about my blogging. Have a great day!

Yucky Flu

Sorry no post so far this week. Justin has come down with the flu and he has been one sick puppy. I got home from work last night and his temp. was 103.1! He has stayed pretty doped up all day and I think he is starting to chipper up a little bit. I have never seen him this sick and I think he is going stir crazy being in the house this long. Poor guy! Say a prayer for him tonight!

Ladies Day Out

Yesterday was a "ladies day out!" I took the girls to the air show out at Dyess AFB and we had an absolute blast. Justin was working so he missed out on all of the fun. We got up early and were super excited about seeing the 'airpwanes'.

After a forever long line to get on base and a 40 mile hike from the car to the show we picked our seat and got ready for all the action. Okay, so I don't know why I didn't notice that it was a little chilly when we left the house but once we got out in the wide open it was FREEZING! I finally asked the lady next to us if we could borrow one of her blankets and proceeded to see a really awesome show complete with a reenactment of Pearl Harbor and all.

(Here is where I would show you all of the pictures from the day but I left my camera in the car and you can refer back to the 40 mile hike as to why I did not go back and get it.)

Afterwards, we roamed around walking onto the planes, stuffing our faces, and having such a wonderful time. We finally make it home later that afternoon and Daddy says, "Umm....babe have you looked at the girls?"

"Okay, I've been with them all day. What are you talking about?" I respond.

"They are really sunburned!"

"What are you talking about? It was freezing out there!" and then I turn around and see this:

and this.....

Okay, so maybe they might be a little scorched from the day! I give them several coatings of aloe and we have been nursing the burn all weekend. OOPS!!!

Overall, it was amazing and I found myself just looking at the girls sometimes with tears welling up in my eyes just thinking about how fast they are growing up!

And a random picture before ya go. Here was my big girl this morning after church. I just had to post it:

Have a great Monday!!

Precious

My baby never meets a stranger! This was a random guy that Brynn and my dad met in the park on Friday. I love her innocence......so precious!!!
