We have a Superstar in the family!!!

I have been so excited about posting this!! I hope this freaks you out as much as it did me. My cousin, Diana, emailed me some pictures of her daughter asking me if they resembled a certain superstar's baby.......ummmm......YA THINK!!!! Her daughter looks exactly like Suri Cruise (Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' baby in case you live under a rock)! It really is kind of freaky. My other cousin said that she could be play Suri in future made-for-TV movies. You be the judge:

(Suri is on the top and her daughter is on the bottom)

Great day!

Yesterday was a looooooooong day! I left our house at 6:00am for Arlington to visit the Chick-Fil-A on North Collins. They were having a huge customer appreciation week with tons of events. I was suppose to stay over until today but everything ended early and I headed back late last night. I was very exhausted and decided to take today and regroup here at home with the girls.
When I got in my car to leave early that morning there was a card on my steering wheel from Justin wishing me a good trip. How sweet is he?! Love him!!
I am going to spend some quality time with my beautiful girls today and just enjoy their company!! Have a great day!

I wanna be a lion.....

Saturday was 'Splash Day' at the Abilene Zoo. Up until yesterday, I would not have put our zoo on the "Top 10 Abilene Attractions" list BUT now after (all of my griping at the time) the bond passed, our taxes went up, and the zoo got a lot of money. (that is the simplified Mary Beth version)

ANYWAYS........ the zoo looked alive again and we truly had a great time. It was 'Splash Day' yesterday which consisted of tons of water games for the kids and guess who forgot to dress their kids in a swimsuit???? You got it! ME!

We had a chaotic morning but made it out of the house all in one piece despite the fact that five minutes before we leave Brynn decides to smear ketchup in her hair. So, her cute hairstyle is due to the dried ketchup holding it in place.

Here is Brynn petting a snake:

Now, for the title of the this post. How great is this life?

Let me give you a side view of that:

She was dead asleep like that!!! How great is that!

Here is one of the activities of the day:

I never thought I would say this......

SADIE IS OFFICIALLY WALKING!!!!! My little baby is growing too fast! She took her first steps about a week ago but today was the first time I could get it on video. (yes, I took the video vertically so you will just have to lean your head or turn your monitor). I am absolutely amazed at how fast she is growing. I can't believe she is already 9 1/2 months old! Here is my adorable baby!!!!

This was especially special to me because I wasn't sure when she would be able to walk due to her foot, but this hasn't slowed her one bit! It still turns out quite a bit but the doctor said we should start seeing a difference once she is walking full-time! Praise the Lord!

Conversations with Brynn

This was a random conversation with Brynn today. We happened to get it on video so I thought I would share!

Please pay attention to what she says when Papa asks her what her daddy's name is!

Random Act of Kindness

What I wouldn't give for a huge swimming pool right now..................hmmmmmm...........

ANYWAYS:

Yesterday I get this phone call from Justin. I am over at my parent's house and he is going home for his dinner break from work. We chit chat for a minute and that's it. A few minutes later he calls back (once he got home) and says (in this pathetically sweet voice),

"Thank you, baby!!!"

MB: Okaaayyyy.....ummmm......"Your welcome???? For what?"

J: "The yard."

MB: "Ummmm.......okay. What about it?"

J: "You mowed it?"

MB: "Ummmmm.....no I didn't"

J: "Yes you did."

MB: "Okay I think I would remember mowing in 100 degree weather."

J: "Well, someone mowed our yard!"

I kid you not!!! We start asking our parents and friends - Nope. We start asking the neighbors and it becomes clear that this elderly man across the street paid to have our yard mowed (he is now out of town). He apparently had talked to Justin in the past and they were talking about their yards, etc. and he told Justin that he paid to have his mowed. Justin told him how wonderful that was and how he would love to do that but we couldn't afford it. So, out of the kindness of his heart he wanted to give us a break this week!!!!!! (No it wasn't because our yard was so horrible that he was embarrassed). How sweet is that?!

We should do more random acts of kindness for others!!! That just made our week!

RaNdOm

We have now had our first experience with Brynn hearing a cuss word somewhere and repeating it. Yeah.......fun! I love how she can't say very many words too clearly, but this one comes out just clear as a bell!! Funny how that happens. We did the whole 'ignore it' thing at first because I have always heard not to make a big deal out of it or they think that it's a way of getting attention. That didn't work so we told her it was a naughty word and we'll see if that works. How neat!
Here is Brynn's new way of watching TV:
This was after I had already made her scoot back about 5 times. Please note that she uses her lawn chair rather than the nicy, comfy recliner you can see in the background. I remember wanting to watch TV super close to the television. I would always lay on the floor and be close enough for my feet to touch the TV. Weird!
How do you know when it is time to clean your floors?

When this is what your baby's feet look like after a day of crawling all over the house!
Now we don't have a cool-super-duper-pool like RyAnn, but we do have Dino the Dinosaur. Here's to SUMMER!!!!!

RANDOM I KNOW!!!!
