Don't Play Chase in the Living Room

Tonight we had one of those know........the moment when your stomach sinks into your toes!

Brynn and Justin were playing chase around the living room and as she would almost tag him, he would move to the side. Well, he moved to the side and Brynn fell right into the corner of the brick fireplace. Yeah, that would be the sinking of the stomach part. She got up and of course Justin and I FREAK out! We got her all cleaned up and checked out the damage. It is the whole front, top part of her mouth (gums and lip). It is pretty busted and now the gums have turned black (bruised). I have heard stories of a tooth "dying" from accidents like this. Is that true? Is there anything I can do to help it heal? I tried to get a picture, but of course it was a no-go. In the picture it looks as if it is her bottom lip, but it really is her top-you can see the swelling. Any advice would be great!

The Fence

Our final house project has now begun! THE FENCE! The fence was in horrible shape when we bought the house and now we are going to be building a new one! Since they decided to charge us our first born child to build one, we decided to do it ourselves (well Justin is doing it). This is the fence as it is now. The neon rope is where we are going to be extending it out to. It is going to be HUGE!!!
Here is Justin and his friend Ryan breaking ground on the first post hole.
Ummmm....don't hurt yourself babe!

So, we talked to the owner of our mystery house. He lives in Florida and told us he would gladly sell for the bargain price of $275,000! Ummm.....okay we were going to offer $140,000. Guess we aren't going to be moving any time soon!
Have a great weekend!

Random Blah

I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off!!!! (Get it....chicken.....Chick-Fil-A!!!! I know.....groan!!!!) I have just been so busy with the new job, that I don't have any fun blog-worthy stories. Here's a few random thoughts for ya:

1. Still no word on the house. The owner is in Florida and we have left 5 messages for him, but no call back. I am guessing that means he doesn't want to talk to us. Justin does go out and visit the house every morning (he gets emotionally attached very easily!) just to make sure everything is still the same.

2. Justin's parents are moving from Dublin (1 1/2 hours aways) to Dalhart (5 1/2 hours away). We are VERY bummed about this!!!!

3. The other day I was changing Brynn's poopie diaper in the floor. I had finished dressing her and when I went to get the dirty was gone. I looked all around me and then glanced up to see Sadie crawling off with it. VERY YUCKY!!!! NOT a pretty picture.

4. Since my father was a Baptist Minister my whole life, I can pretty much sing the first, second, and last verse of ANY hymn. Today was a very emotional and stressful day at work and tonight I came home just plain exhausted. I decided to put all house stuff on hold and just spend the evening playing in the floor with the girls. As I was putting Sadie down, for some reason, all these old church hymns came into my head. I started singing, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus sweetest name I know"......."When the roll is called up yonder".........."Because he lives I can face tomorrow"....etc. I had this overwhelming peace come over me. I suddenly felt calm and happy again. God is so good to me to have such a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls that I love so much. Okay, now I am crying again..........

I will try to pick up the pace and be more fun and exciting. It is just so hectic right now and I feel constantly exhausted. Have faith in me!

I know I have let my blog readers down lately (all 3 of you-ha ha!) with my boring posts or lack there of, that is. This new job has me swamped! I am so exhausted by the time I get home. I will just have to toughen up I guess.

Yesterday, Justin and I both took off for a little "family day". It was VERY needed and we really enjoyed it. On one of our little outings we came across an abandoned house. It was HUGE (3300 sq ft) and, at one time, was a very extravagant house. It is run down now, but automatically our wheels start turning (we are very nosy). It has a 3 car garage, 4 bedrooms, 2 dining rooms, game room, office, 3 bathrooms, and a pool with slide and diving board.

SO, off we went to talk to the neighbors. They tell us who was living there last but that no one has been there in a long time. We hunt down the guy that lived there last only to find out that he didn't even own the house and was apparently a pretty shady guy. He is now "in jail or living with some girl in Merkel" (from the manager of a trailor park he was living in). SO, we hunt down the deed to the house and it is in the name of "Daniel Frank Kingsbury". Off we go stalking him now. Apparently he lives in Florida but has houses in LA, Hollywood, here and Florida. Through MUCH googling we find a phone number to his office. (All the other phone numbers we have found have been disconnected). We haven't gotten to call him yet but we are going to try on Monday. It has now become a mission of ours to solve the mystery!

Wasn't that just a wonderful 'family day'!!!!!!

Kudos Suzanne

Isn't my new banner and layout BEAUTIFUL!!!!! Apparently I was 'old school' and didn't know it! Suzanne came in and modernized me and, if I do say so myself, did an amazing job!!!

Thank you so much Suzanne, my new real world friend!

The weather was beautiful today and it couldn't have been more perfect. Brynn thought it was cool that some bunny came and brought her prizes!!! She wanted to open each egg as she found it.
Hope you enjoy!!

I see you all are on to my little tricks! I know you don't care about my excuses but I will give it to you anyways. At my old job I sat in front of a computer all day so it was easy to post as things came to my mind but now with this new job it is hard for me to find time to sit down and write.

I know......whatever!!!

This weekend we are down here at my in-laws for our postponed Easter fun. So I know I will have pictures soon. We will be hunting eggs tomorrow and celebrating with the family.

I blogged awhile back about our 'million dollar ideas.' Let me refresh your memory. It came from a quote we heard that say, "Every person has four ideas a year, that if invented, would make them a millionaire." So, everytime we come up with a good idea for something, we call it our 'million dollar idea.'

Justin's new idea is to have credit/debit card swipes on vending machines. If you are anything like us, we never have any type of cash on us and it is so annoying to have to hunt for change just to get a drink somewhere! How handy if you could just swipe your card?!?!?

No stealing his idea! For some reason I can't find the previous post where I blogged about this! Maybe I never am losing it!

Justin had also came up with the idea for a DVR for your car radio and now they actually have that for satellite radio!

A friend of mine came up with 'cheetoh-picker-uppers' (we would have to fix the name). These would be little things you slipped on your thumb and index fingers to pick up cheetos and not get your fingers all orange.

We have come up with tons of them yet we aren't millionaires!!

I promise a good picture post SOON!!

PS: I figured out the deal with the background. If you are behind a firewall (like at work or something) then the background does not show up, but it will show up if you just log in from home) WOW-that was stressful!

So, is it fixed? Can you see the water?

Our Jailbird

Sadie has now become obsessed with trying to get through the baby gate. Even if we are all on the same side as her, she still wants to be on the other side! At first, she tried to just crawl through the bars but found out the hard way that it wouldn't work. She has learned that somehow the handle up top has something to do with opening the gate so she pulls up and beats on top of it trying to get it to open. Here is the pull-up:
And now....scoping out the handle......

What a stinker!

(How do I make one of those banners like Suzanne and Megan?? Teach me!)

Happy No-Picture Easter

HAPPY EASTER!!! I guess I will have to change my background now and do away with the easter eggs. I would post pictures, but I don't have any because we have postponed the easter egg hunt until next weekend. Thank goodness I had not bought thier easter outfits yet (sorry about that RyAnn). We rummaged up some winter outfits and ventured off to church. That was about all of our easter celebration. Bummer.

I pledge to try and be a better blogger this week! I know I have dropped the ball and I will try to do better!

Not Much Here

Let's just say Brynn has hit a whole new level of brattiness (is that a word)?? Anyway, she no longer likes Sadie touching any of her stuff. Everytime Sadie touched something, Brynn would take it away and go put it in her toy basket (since Sadie can't reach in there). The pile kept growing and growing and here is the final result:

The new job is pretty laid back but still so unfamiliar to me. I was so exhausted today and wanted to do this:

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Brynn's Shrek Party

I'm wondering if I have any sanity left in me!?!?!? Brynn's birthday party was Saturday and it went very well and she had an absolute blast. I think she was more shocked at all of the decorations (which by the way I didn't get any pictures of)! Of course the presents were a big hit. She really got some cool stuff!! It ended up being a perfect day so we all sat around outside, cooked hamburgers, and visited. A good time was had by all!!! For all of the pictures click HERE

Brynn all 'Shreked' out:

Her new tricycle:

The baby doll stroller was a big hit:

My grandparents and us went in on a bike and trailer for Brynn (mental note: don't buy your kids something that you have to exercise for them to play)

A close up:

Mommy and Daddy all 'Shreked' out:

At the end of night Brynn curled up in her new recliner (which is the cutest thing I have every seen) with her new Cars blanket (my Nanny made) and watched a movie (Shrek of course):

Onto other news.....
I have officially started my new job!! I am still learning everything which is a whole new experience for me. I had been at my previous job for 5 years so I am not used to being one who is lost! I am catching on pretty quickly though which is good. Last week got pretty hairy with me ending my job, starting this new one, and having her birthday party BUT I am back now!!!!
PS: I haven't had a chance to leave comments on your blogs, but I have read them and have been keeping up with everyone!
