Randomness

I guess I jinxed myself in an earlier post about Sadie growing up too fast. Today she started scooting all over the living room. I won't call it full-on crawling, but definately on the move. Are you ready for the play-by-play? Here goes:
THE BEGINNING POSITION:
GETTING UP AND READY

AND AWAY SHE GOES!!!!!!

HERE IS BRYNN PLAYING IN SADIE'S EXERSAUCER

DON'T YA LIKE THAT DONALD TRUMP COMB-OVER!!!
(very intently watching Open Season)

RANDOM THOUGHTS:

The closet is still in progress so there are no new updates in that area.

Brynn peed in our floor again.....what is her deal with doing that?

I just found out that my old roommate, Emily, has been reading this and that just made my day!!! I had no idea that she visited this site! Love you Em!

I can't stand Home Depot, Lowes is MUCH better!

If I watch Shrek 2 one more time, I just may do something drastic!

Sadie Sitting Up

Here is my precious baby sitting up all by herself! She turned 5 months last week so I guess the next thing our agenda will be crawling (I am NOT ready for that) I think her smile is absolutely contagious! Deep in thought:

Here is a view of our closet from the garage: (what the heck were we thinking)
Now I have noticed from my ticker-thingy that several of you are stopping by but not posting a comment. I would love to know who you are, so don't be shy!

New Project

I don't know if you can see it or not, but here is a picture of Sadie's first tooth and the other one is coming in next to it. (she didn't enjoy taking this picture)Then, this weekend we were sitting around talking about how are closet was too small and came up with this bright idea to expand it! The back wall goes into the garage so there you go.....more space. This was my closet BEFORE:And this is it now! (only this wall is now pulled out and it is just open into the garage)
ummmmm.....so we kind of got ahead of ourselves and this is where our project has come to a halt. Now I am sharing a closet with Sadie and Justin is sharing with Brynn. I will update later once we decide what direction we are going to take with this project!

Christmas in January

Today we got a wonderful surprise from my Aunt Mary Ann! She has been planning on making here to bring the girls their Christmas presents (she lives in Houston) but work has just been too hectic for her. So she mailed all of their presents and we had Christmas all over again! Brynn thought that was pretty cool. She kept asking, "More prizes?" after each present she opened. Here are the highlights:

Too Cute

If this doesn't make your day, I don't know what will:

Weird

We put Brynn to bed the other night and then about an hour later we heard something over the monitor. We went into our room to listen and see what see was saying. We heard her singing

"Q-R-S" ......."YEAH!!!"

"1-2-3" ........"YEAH!!!"

"Mermaid......YEAH...Mermaid!!!"

We laughed so hard listening to her singing this random stuff. Finally I tell Justin that I am going to go in there and tell her to go to sleep. I open the door and find her NOT in her bed, but sitting at her little table and chairs. Just sitting there.....no toys, no books, no nothing. Just sitting singing in the dark.

Weird kid!

Boring Weekend

Due to the wonderful winter weather conditions outside, we were pretty much cooped up in the house all weekend.

How do you recycle a baby bouncy?

Turn it into a TV chair:

We did make it out for a trip to Hastings to buy Shark Tale and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I was about to throw Cars, Finding Nemo, and Shrek 2 in the trash after the 50th time of watching each of them. Here is my bundled up baby (and yes Justin did make fun of me for taking her picture in the store):

Look at this happy girl!

Story of the day:
Brynn was playing in her room and had a poopie in her diaper. Apparently she decided that she didn't like the feeling of it so she removed her pants and her diaper. Then, as she kept on playing, she realized that she was not done pooping so she finished in the middle of her bedroom floor. Niiiiice!

Have a wonderful week!

We Are Cool NOW

Take a seat because you are about to be blown away......

Justin and I have stepped out of the 80's and have bought ourselves.....

A HOME COMPUTER!

Oh yes ladies and gentlemen, the news is true. Not only did we buy a computer, it is a Gateway Laptop. I would give you all the details, but I don't really know them and who cares anyway. We got WIRELESS internet as well! Now some of you may not realize the huge accomplishment this was for us, but I have always used my work computer for my personal needs and now I get to play at home! (my boss is breathing sigh of relief right now).

You should have seen us setting it all up. We acted like siblings fighting over a new toy.
"I want to do it!"
"That's not fair, you've had it all evening!"
We really are going to have to get a timer and take turns with it.

Welcome to 2007 Mary Beth and Justin!

Busy, Busy

BRRRRRR.......it is freezing here! I am not so much of a cold weather person so I am ready for some sunshine!
This weekend went by pretty quickly. We had a going away party for my friend Patricia and here are all of the ladies!
On to my baby news. Okay that sounded like I was pregnant again...DON'T WORRY... I meant onto news about my baby-Sadie that is. She got her first tooth! I would have taken a picture but you can't really see it yet. Also this weekend, it was her first time in her high chair.
How precious is this face:

It just tuckered her out!

Here is a comparison of how my girls look NOTHING alike!

Sadie: 4 1/2 Months

Brynn: 4 Months

They just grow up too fast. Well, stay warm and bundle up today!!!!!!

Quickies

Two quickies for ya:

1. Sadie slept in her own room last night and it was GRRRRREAT! I even had to wake her up to leave this morning (that never happens).

2. I had posted about Justin and I singing the wrong words to songs and my mother-in-law told me about this awesome website that is an archive of misheard song lyrics!!! How cool is that!

    Yes we are weird!

This quote from the movie Untamed Heart pretty much sums up our marriage:

"He don't make sense. I don't make sense. Together, we make sense!"

We are just dorky, but able to admit it!! I may blog further about some of our weird games at a later date, but here is one for today:

Have you ever been singing a song (that you obviously think you know) and then come to find out the words you have been singing are not correct?

    Examples:

    1. From The Star Spangled Banner
Justin sings, "FOR the land of the free, and the home of the brave."
The song really says, "O'ER the land of the free, and the home of the brave."

    2. From Woman, Sensuous Woman by Mark Chestnutt
Justin sings, "Woman, SINCE YOU A SWOMAN." (yes he really did ask his mom what a swoman was!!)
The song really says, "Woman, sensuous woman you control the world I'm living in."

    3. From Unfaithful by Rihanna
I sing, "I don't want to be ANOTHER MOTHER"
The song really says, "I don't want to be A MURDERER."

    4. From The Christmas Song
Justin sings, "Jack Frost nipping at your TOES"
The song really says, "Jack Frost nipping at your NOSE"

    Here is another one:

    1. For my whole entire life I did not know it was called the WIND CHILL FACTOR. I have always said the WINDSHIELD FACTOR. Justin loved correcting me on that one!

We will actually google the lyrics to see what the correct words are! Does anyone else do this?

    Weird Morning

This morning has been a pretty eventful blog-worthy morning:

    STORY A:
I get ready this morning and was about to walk out the door when I heard Sadie start waking up. I make her a bottle (today is Justin's day off and he has both girls at home) and go to be sure Justin is awake. He is getting about of bed to feed Sadie so I get ready to leave. Then I hear this faint cry. It was kind of off in the distance so I knew it couldn't be Sadie. I listen for a minute and wonder if I am just going crazy. Justin walks into the living room with Sadie and says, "Do you hear that baby crying?" Okay, then I start to panic. I go and listen at Brynn's door.....nothing. I then start to freak out thinking that someone has abandoned their baby in our dumpster outside (yeah, to much Law and Order: SVU for me)!! I open the front door and walk outside to listen. I don't hear anything. Now I am on the verge of calling 911! We go all throughout the house and Justin tells me it is coming from our bedroom. Okay, I think I would know if we had another baby in our house. We start searching all around our bedroom for this random baby and then realize that our baby monitor was picking up someone else's baby monitor. Whoever we were picking up sure wasn't attending to their screaming baby!!! Can you just say HUGE adrenaline rush!!

    STORY B:
After that craziness I head off to work and this oldie-but-a-goodie comes on: "Everything I do, I do it for you.." (yes I listen to some weird radio stations) I start belting out with the song. Like seriously singing along. I start thinking, "Dang, I can sing pretty darn good!" So I decide to turn the radio down and sing loud so that I could hear how good I really do sing! (yes I am a HUGE dork at this moment). Okay, it must have been the radio drowning me out before because when it was just me.........baaaaad.....real bad!!!! So I learned that I sing really good with the radio turned up really loud!!!

    Wow what a day!

    What a weekend!

This has been a whirlwind of a weekend-I will give you a recap!
Here is super dad with our new handy dandy double stroller! The girls love it, but it is pretty wide and hard to maneuver (especially through furniture stores-bad idea)Sadie is finally sitting up good enough to bathe with Brynn. They just giggle and giggle! So cute.

We have offically moved Brynn into a "big girl" bed, but she doesn't understand the concept of a pillow. So, she either props her feet on it or avoids it all together. This was her asleep this morning.

Here are our best friends on New Years Eve (I promise my husband really was having a good time)

Here are all of the ladies!

And last but not least.........here is our big purchase of the weekend! We got new furniture! We set out to get a new recliner, but ended up with all of this....oops!

It is sooo comfortable, but I forsee lots of fights over who is going to sit in the chair!
I guess that about sums up our weekend. Crazy, but lots of fun. Happy 2007!!!!!

    Story of the weekend:
Brynn has been pooping in the potty but won't pee in the potty. I told her that if she would pee in the potty I would get her prizes, like a new Elmo or something. So, what does my child interpret out of that?!?! She put her new Elmo IN the potty and came out asking, "prizes? prizes?"
