Daddy's Nail Salon

Tonight the most adorable thing happened! We were all in the living room watching TV and Justin turned to Brynn and said, "Do you want me to paint your nails?"

Ummmm........

She was so excited and RAN to get all of the stuff and they set up a little nail salon in the living room. It was the most precious thing I have ever seen!!

Brynn's Dance Class

Monday was Brynn's first day of Jazz, Tap, and Tumbling Class. She was so excited about picking out her new 'dance outfit' that had plenty of sparkles! Here is Brynn heading into class:

And then when Brynn came out of class her pretty dance outfit looked like this

Apparently during class Brynn had to go potty and she was so proud that she put her dress back on all by herself!!

A Day at the Lake

Last Sunday we loaded up and took the kids on a spontaneous fishing trip to the lake. Now, we don't have some fancy-shmancy boat or anything and it was really windy.....so.......it turned into a day of splashing around on the shore in their rain boots! They were stoked and ready for the fun!

Well, at least Brynn was. Sadie was knocked out by the time we got to the end of our street. (rain boots and all)

We tried fishing at first but there was no way that was going to happen.

Sadie was amazed at all of the jet skis and boats so in every picture she is pointing at some water craft.

It was a great family day!

I AM ALIVE!!

Whew............this has been my longest break from blogging ever! I promise I am still alive and things are going good here, just really busy.

First off, update on the job fun. I received a call and I was off to Atlanta one week later for more interviews. It was absolutely beautiful and things couldn't have gone any better. They called today and gave me an update about where things stood and so far, I am in a very good place!! Now is just the waiting game to see when the right store will become available.

The girls are doing fabulous!! They crack me up every day. Justin and I had to go to Fort Worth the other day so we took Brynn with us to spend a fun special day. We took her to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and after that we saw Night at the Museum 2 at the Omni. It was great to spend special time with her one-on-one!! Now it will be Sadie's turn and we are thinking the aquarium there. Any opinions?

Rain Boots and Fishing

Recently Justin's mom got the girls some rain boots and they have had an absolute blast with them. We got home the other day and they saw the water at the end of the driveway and went crazy!! So, we ran inside, put their boots on, grabbed the camera, and had a ball!

Please ignore the interesting outfits they have on. Sometimes the girls pick out their own clothes at Grammy's house!

Justin took Brynn fishing yesterday for a little Daddy/Daughter time. I was work when I got this picture sent to me:

Isn't it just too cute!! I wish I could have been there to see her expression. Justin said she went crazy with excitement.

Updates

Guess who's back.........back again!

Where-o-where to begin! So much has happened since my last post. I just got back from Albuquerque, New Mexico for work. I was gone for a week and it was so hard to be away from Justin and the girls, but it was an amazing experience. I helped open a new store there and had yet another interview while I was there (I am starting to think I applied for the Secret Service or something). We still have no further information, just playing the waiting game. It is so hard to just wait for some tinge of hope, but I guess I should get used to it. I met a lady who has been going through the process for two years now!! So, I guess I have to be in for the long haul.

We also had a wonderful Easter with both of our families. Although the egg hunt started out for Sadie like this....

One of the best parts of Easter was getting to meet Little Miss Hannah Jade! She is my cousin's daughter and she is absolutely precious. She is now a month old and the girls latched on to her so fast. In fact, we had only been there for just a little while when (while I was holding Hannah) Sadie said, "Will you help me because my mommy is holding my baby sister?" Ummmm......not quite! Sadie did the best job of taking care of Hannah. She held her paci in and sang her all sorts of songs.



Here are the girls ooooohhhing and aaaaahhhing over her. They just stared at her and sang to her. (Check out Miss Hannah's head of hair!)

And NO they will not be getting another sibling.......just to clear that one up!
